Design Flaw: Tube Fittings

Friendly Reminder: You must be very innovative to make this fitting work. In my case I installed it for the filter under the sink. To my surprise, all three ports leaked. There are two plastic tubes where both bushings twist and cut into the tubes. There is a copper pipe that doesn't appear to be twisted but is still leaking. I had to go to Home Depot to buy two new plastic bushings and inserts that fit nicely in the case. Thanks to the exchange of sleeves and the addition of inserts, there is no more leakage. For a copper pipe I found another sleeve of a different brand, replaced the original one, the leak stopped. I find the design flawed. Its sleeve is tapered on both sides. When you tighten the nut, it doesn't push the bushings evenly. All of my new sleeves were flat on one side and tapered on the other, making it easier to grab the nut. Another issue with this design is that it has no inserts, making it unsuitable for plastic tubing.
