Review on Thermaltake Software Controllable Interactive CL F063 PL12SW by Stephen Thomas

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The fans are great, the controller software is terrible

I really like the fans but the software is so terrible that I only give it one star. I can change this if they fix the problems. The most important thing is the pop-up warning you get unless you specifically disable unused ports. This is easy enough to fix if you only do it for one profile. Obviously you need to disable unused ports for EACH PROFILE or else you will get stuck in an endless loop of popup warnings and the program WILL NOT OPEN for you to fix the problem. Also, not all fans can be oriented the same way once they're installed - it would be nice to have an easy way to rotate the color profiles to match each fan, rather than manually swapping all 12 LEDs. Fix it by going through the app on my phone but it didn't work. It switches between profiles, but does not access individual fans and does not store profiles. There may be times when the pop-ups stop, but at the moment this is not the case. (UPDATE) After uninstalling, rebooting and reinstalling I finally got it working. Upgrade to 3 stars. If there is a decent solution for the software I might consider an upvote. (UPDATE 2 - 12/29/18) Oh my god. I don't know what they're doing in ThermalTake, but the fan control software doesn't seem overly complicated. TT RGB Plus versions 1.2.52 and 53 do not work at all. They just hang and do nothing. There seems to be a compatibility issue between the software and ASUS AMD platforms. Looking for alternative controllers. (UPDATE THREE) I will keep the rating because the software crashed my system. After uninstalling everything works fine. I broke down and ordered another ThermalTake product to get everything working again. It's the controller that lets you use fans with ASUS Aura Sync, getting rid of the TT RGB program. So far this has worked flawlessly.
