My son loves this toy. It plays music and has various sounds and sayings that are activated when handling the ball. There are two volume settings, but both are fairly quiet, which can be a good or bad thing depending on preference or the environment. We also have an active toddler in our busy home so the sounds of this ball are mostly muffled. It's a bit big and a bit heavy for small children but it was just right for my 9 month old. He loves to crawl, grab and chew with him. It's covered in padding fabric so it's soft too. And it doesn't bounce at all, but is still great to roll, throw or kick.
