I bought one of these to test its efficacy as a substitute to more expensive insect collection boxes (seen in photo on top of this box for size comparison), which can be 3-5 times more expensive. These aren’t as airtight as they could be, but applying a thin weatherstrip and locking clasps (not seen in photo) can address this. Otherwise, these boxes are surprisingly sturdy and the bottom backing is more than stiff enough to hold the insect pins (or other pins) in place. Most of the pictures show the insects in 11x17 inch boxes. The last two show smaller dioramas using the 8x10 boxes. Overall, very impressed with these!
