It doesn't snap at all

I won't be looking for a special knot that will do the job. It has to come to this. If I get a decent answer and it's not a terrible hack, this review might change their rating. Until then, this is a useless product as it's pretty much for anyone who doesn't want to tie a knot every time they pick up a controller. Where the latch would normally be, there is just a plastic rectangle.
