We have a 20 year old Miele Alu and a small Miele vacuum cleaner. Great great vacuums and no breakage other than cords that needed replacing. This dusting brush has far fewer bristles and isn't as deep. If you use it to vacuum something fragile like a lampshade, it's against the plastic case. This is because the bristles are thinner and not as densely packed. So you risk damaging or marking something fragile. The thin bristles also make it difficult to use the brush as a brush - which means you'll want to be able to "dig" a little when cleaning things like window sills. I also noticed that the bristles keep bending. Not cool, hence 4 stars. So it's "good enough" to replace an old vacuum and it works, but the quality has really gone down. Not what I expected from our long excellent work with Miele. We've had the same lousy experience with bare tool replacements, where the bristles mostly broke after minimal use. I assume that someone who buys these products today will not notice the difference. But at my age I know the difference. Maybe I'll look for secondary products next time, let's see. Much luck.
