Cat6A max speed is 500 MHz. This allows 10 Gbps (Gigabits per second) with the maximum distance supported up to 328 feet (100 m). -- This means that it is twice as fast as the CAT 6. They are thicker than the CAT 6 cable, but they use the same RJ-45 connectorsWhereas Cat6 max speed is 250 MHz. This allows 10 Gbps with a max. distance up to 180 ft (55m).Prefer flat cables verse the round cables as it's easier to have them run under carpet or underneath the trim molding.
