I have seen many people with a similar product made out of very soft (jelly like) plastic. This one is much more durable! It's a hard foam, strong enough that my daughter can't take it apart, but soft enough that she won't hurt herself if the tablet falls on her foot :) I also love that it has a great kickstand the back has easy to work with. I have three children (8, 6 and 3 years old). I bought this for a 3 year old. However, now all my kids want a tablet because of the cool case and the great design (standing function). So happy with my purchase!
