The defect is that the 2- point mechanism for locking the power head to the debris canister does not seal the head tightly to the canister. The system is ok for the money, no moving float arm to break, probably last longer in my boat but.It changes level in about 16 steps, not analog.This unit works off of what i assume are reed switches. The magnet float slides up and down the rod and switches resistance along the way in steps. So when you get to almost empty it goes from 8% to zero. Or 100%-92% 86% 78% ect in steps. I don’t know how I have traveled before without these! I took 24 on a 2 week European vacation and I am so glad I had them! An extra tip is that if you bring sweaters, hang them over something else that is already on a hanger. Example hang a cardigan over a dress. Let you get extra hanger use.
