This puller seems strong enough, but it has some serious problems that make it useless. Phillips screws are not fully threaded, making them unusable for small bearings. This can easily be remedied by swapping out shorter bolts or fully threaded bolts. The puller does not come with a hardened shell to accommodate the tip of the jacking screw. This alone renders it unusable unless the shaft has a central "dip" from machining (unlikely). I had to use a cup from another puller. The jacking screw does not turn smoothly. The biggest problem is that the puller arms are not parallel when tightened on a bearing or gear. This is because in the picture the left hand is tight on the top bar while the right hand is loose and sloppy. See fig. I do not recommend the purchase for any purpose. There is a better choice.
