I have used these bags with three different brands of food vacuum cleaners for many years. A year ago we chose the FoodSaver brand seal and I have had no problems with these bags. I personally think that some of the reviews about these bags (or other bags for that matter) are down to user error. I recently found some short ribs from January 2019 in the back of my extra freezer. They look like the day I froze them. I actually prefer these bags over FoodSaver bags and they are great bags too. Try them, don't seal food while drinking adult beverages and you'll be fine.
