Review on ✨ A3s 40x30cm Tracing Light Pad Light Board - Diamond Painting Light Table with Stepless Dimming for Artcraft, Weeding, Vinyl - 2nd Gen Diamond Art Light Box by Andre Tenk

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Recommended as tracing paper; can be recommended for astrophotography considering the price for 250mm coverage.

Received fairly quickly, thanks Revane. I bought it to photograph flat fields for astrophotography, not for its intended purpose, so as artist tracing paper first: it seems well constructed, not flimsy, with an orange peel finish. And it's big as advertised. The lighting is as bright as possible. Visually, the lighting uniformity is 9/10 across the entire volume, so despite ONLY turning it on, I give it 5 stars for its purpose. And so it cannot suffice for MY purposes. It's a good weight and won't damage your scope or mount. Lighting even in low light can be an issue - I think most shutter speeds will do, although it could take 1/2000 - 1/4000, just a guess. Lighting uniformity, while 9/10 above, I should adjust for astro targets, maybe 7/10. See photo with keystone shading below. The photo is a fairly accurate representation of what I see visually. However, with my largest scope at 250mm, this may not be an issue, and if only the peripherals will take it, I can live with the framing for less than $30. For astro purposes I would give the panel 7/10 or 3.5 stars. I'll update once I see how everything works, which may take a while - it mostly depends on how the main area is lit, but it seems fine, and I can add translucent plastic across the screen for more consistency . Conclusion: Not as good as EL, but also much cheaper for a 10" scope. Recommended so far.
