I bought this product because I need it to connect my camera to my Mac. While I haven't done so yet, I have noticed that it gets hot and, say, over 100 degrees Fahrenheit when plugged into a computer. That's absurd. I am so concerned for my safety and the safety of my laptop that I only use it for a short amount of time (which is not the time you waste when working with photography).
