When I read the description of this mirror and saw that it was 5" in diameter, I measured my current mirror and it was also 5" in diameter. I thought it was the perfect size, when I opened the package I thought it couldn't be 5 inches, it's so small. But I put it on my current mirror and the mirror size was exactly the same. The difference is my old mirror has a 3/4 inch border around it and that makes the difference because the mirror looks bigger. I understand that this is a street mirror, but the standing part is useless to me. I would prefer a pen. This mirror is so small that if you place it on a tabletop it will be difficult to see, and if you mount it on the wall it will be difficult to take with you on a trip. I also noticed some slight distortion, but nothing that would make me want to go back.
