Review on πŸ”Œ Metra 70-5511: The Ultimate Wiring Harness for FD Amp Integration System by Marcus Merritt

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Worked great! suitable for car AV installation

My '99 Mustang came with an audio system with two boxes - tape recorder/radio unit (master) and CD player (slave). I took both out and installed a new secondary player using this harness adapter. After I removed all the wires from the master to the slave, there were two adapters in the car that easily connected to the two adapters that came with it. Product. These adapter cables can be easily soldered to player cables with standard color codes. Adapters are a bit cheap so care must be taken not to break the locking tab when plugging or unplugging. A note: Most aftermarket players have a blue antenna wire. This is the wire that connects to the blue wire on the gray adapter to power the amp. Now don't ask me what you would do if you actually had an active antenna! Update (12/15/2013): - This suspension (and my Mustang) have lasted almost 6 years combined and both were still going strong when I traded my car in last week.
