Bought these cycling leggings for cold days, they are perfect. I had a MTB clinic on a windy lot last weekend and it was about 41F. I wore these leggings and I wasn't cold. I like the pockets on the sides so I can keep my phone close so I can grab it. It doesn't bother me while driving because the pockets are well placed and my phone doesn't fall out either. I'm 5.7 inches tall and about 170 pounds with wide hips and a small waist. I usually wear a size 10/12. I bought these leggings in a size L and they fit very well. Unless you have a small waist I would go up a size as I find the belt doesn't stretch as much as they do Fabric used to make leggings. The suede in leggings is not bulky or too soft as long as it doesn't weigh down the butt, which I consider a plus.
