I ordered these socks to wear in a kayak. I wanted something that would give my feet some protection but not be bulky. These fit my needs well. I only got them recently so I don't know how long they will last, but they seem to be quite well made. They take longer to dry than I'd like, but I'll take other shoes with me to wear later - they're only meant to be worn in the boat. The insole is removable, which also helps with drying. I've seen people mention they're tall and I agree. I wear an 8th width and bought a 7 1/2-8. There is a lot of room in the shoes, and there is still room. If you're looking for something snug, I'd go down a size. However, they are just right for what I was looking for. The sole is quite thin so I plan to avoid walking on sidewalks or driveways as I doubt they will last long in these conditions. But on the beach, on grassy areas or even on a rocky coast, they should protect my feet perfectly. The price was right and I like the interesting design options. I would buy them again.
