I use my GE GXWH30C filter wrench and it works great. It was definitely the right tool for the job. Not much to say here, other than that it was an actual GE wrench that fitted snugly into the filter housing to remove it. It's plastic so I wouldn't say it's durable, but I'd be surprised if it didn't outlast the life of the filter. The only thing I've seen that might break is the handle if the housing were set too tight, but I don't see that as a likely possibility, especially if the filter is changed regularly. There are probably other ways to remove the cover. from GXWH30C, but even my plumber thinks this wrench is a good investment. Too bad the filter isn't included.
