Review on 🔦 Streamlight 88085 ProTac HL-X USB 1000-Lumen Rechargeable Flashlight with USB Battery, Cord, Holster, and Box – Multi, Black by Trey Ali

Received protac hlx today and it's gross. The finish on it is cloudy and stained all over, making it look inferior and used. I unscrewed the head and it creaked and protested the whole time, exposing filaments that were completely baked with metal shavings and powder that also snaked around the LED. Threads and rubber O-ring were absolutely dry, no lubrication. The plug is in the same condition, only conditionally, and also completely dry, there is no lubrication on the threads or on the O-ring. Now I'm really put off by this expensive light. I thought I could clean and lubricate myself. I intend to mount this light on a track as it is advertised so I will remove the pocket clip with two small hex nuts. I just can't figure it out. The screws are so tight that I peel off the heads of the screws to loosen them and do it with two people, one pushing in to increase the bite and the other trying to turn the screwdriver. Wow. This is an absolute mess of light. Attention buyers, either there is no QC or they are selling old headlights as new. I wouldn't have expected it for €90.
