Review on Tstkcom Submersible Aquarium Fountain Hydroponics by Razz Hieb

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I wish it had the ability to control power flow like the side-suction version.

This is the second submersible water pump from TSKCOM that I have seen. The first was a side suction version that allowed controlled water flow and I checked out the 120 GPH version. This time I'm reviewing a TSTKCOM submersible water pump (bottom suction, 160 gph version). There is a big difference between bottom and side suction and the main difference is that this pump is designed to stay on the bottom. No flow control on the bottom suction version, but it has more power and much higher buoyancy, up to 8.2ft. said there were three adapters, this one only had two plus four suction cups and no hose. I think the higher the GPH the more adapters you can get. That being said, who do I recommend it to? I recommend this version of the water pump over the side suction when you need power and know you want high buoyancy for your fountain. The water flow is not controlled, but it is equipped with a double copper wire motor, which increases durability and reduces the possibility of motor failure. This one also has a handle, the other doesn't. Personally, they both have their pros and cons and if you had to choose between TSKCOM submersible water pumps, which one would you choose? Bottom suction or side suction? They're both priced the same, but if I had to choose one, I'd give the side suction the benefit of being able to control performance. If you have this version and say you don't want to go 8.2ft but want to go 5ft, you can't control the power with the bottom exhaust version but you can with the side exhaust version. I think it's very important to be able to control the amount of energy flow.

Pros
  • PERFECT SIZE: This profile sized water pump is great for concealment or disguise. No gaskets or messy oils, mounting feet with suction cups for vertical or horizontal mounting.
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other models
