I went with a Mac Mini and an HP laptop, both of which I supplement my primary computer with use of from time to time. Thus, I immediately looked for a way to connect to two different devices at the same time, and I found that it is possible to do so on this end, albeit with the requirement that one of the devices contain a USB receiver. A good small mouse with a reasonable price tag. Pros: Connects using Bluetooth as well as the radio channel when a USB receiver is used. This enables you to use a single mouse on two computers at the same time without the need for further configuration. I put in the batteries at the beginning of the summer and have kept them for months without replacing them; however, I do not use them on a daily basis. Within the carrying case, there is a space designated specifically for a USB receiver. These are some downsides: Bluetooth is incapable of simultaneously connecting to more than one device. Every time, you will need to establish a connection with a new one. Even if there is a radio channel available, it would be helpful if there was also a possibility to communicate via Bluetooth.
