I put it on 3b+ I had lying around (note that with 3b+ you need to use pistars v4rc), PiStar loaded and was good to go. I didn't have to adjust the frequency offsets. There was enough clearance between the exposed pins and the pi pins that I didn't have to "insulate" like the manual says. The status LEDs are overly bright, much brighter than the old ones. I think it's not a problem if you don't create a clear case around this thing. Please note that the included pistar instructions regarding the WiFi request file are outdated. Instead, the Pi should expose itself as a Wi-Fi hotspot, and you can program it to access a Wi-Fi AP by connecting to it that way without messing around with the supplicant file. but it has nothing to do with this hat.
