it works to hold the phone, keys, etc. It keeps going up when running and I have to pull it down, which is uncomfortable and annoying. I believe any type of workout that involves moving your bottom half will make that trip up. There was a little thread in the middle of the zipper to make two sections. This made it difficult for my phone to fit in my pocket (I have an iPhone XR). After using it several times, I cut the thread, which made the zipper go through the entire bag. Now it works much better. The velcro at the end ruined a pair of my sweatpants. I didn't have perfectly aligned ends and the velcro ruff was rubbing and clinging to my leggings. I have a bracelet for my phone and a key, I use it more than this one.
