This product is exactly what you would expect if you are having trouble with your current ignition switch. I have had intermittent starting problems with my 2003 Accord for YEARS. Initially the car would just not start from time to time, maybe once every 2 months. I checked everything you can expect, battery and connections. It usually started after I tried again a few minutes later. The strange thing is that the car didn't even try to roll over. Many times I thought it was a bad battery and after a "jump" the car would start, but that was only because the switch decided to work after the jump. Sometimes the car wouldn't start. So I suspected it might be a generator. I got a replacement for €350. But after that I continued to have problems. The frequency of starting problems has increased. At first I thought that the remote control key security system was not working. Then I thought it was an electrical problem with my alarm system so I removed it. Still having the same problems. Then the car finally WON'T start any more than it did. I started researching and testing my electrical system until FINALLY one day when I was stuck in a garage trying to start the car by repeatedly turning the key, I heard an electrical noise coming from the steering column as I tried to start. I had never noticed or heard it before so I wrote it down and then went online and found that other people had heard this noise and it was the ignition switch. I bought this switch 9 months ago and RIGHT NOW I wouldn't start again. Questions. I can't tell you how much money was spent and how many headaches it would have prevented if I had known earlier what the problem was. And it's pretty easy to install, there are tons of videos, you just have to smack the steering column. It was such an inexpensive and important fix, I'm so glad it was resolved, I just wish it had happened sooner.
