Warning Do not immerse the thermometer in liquid! I bought this device to measure the temperature of the liquid for brewing beer. All objects that come into contact with beer during the brewing process must be disinfected. I went into the sanitized water with the thermometer and unfortunately the whole block was submerged. The device no longer works. Previously the device worked perfectly, but I simply cannot give a high rating to a device that is advertised as measuring the temperature of a liquid that is not waterproof. If you're more careful than me, I'm sure this device will suit your needs perfectly.
