Epson knows how to scan. This is an older USB 2 only product, so it doesn't offer high performance. "Manual" is practically absent. I have a lot of experience with scanners, but this job took a lot of time. I finally tried their tech support - at least they offer tech support. The problem was that the position of the film holder had to be offset from the side and top of the scanner glass. It took 3 different technicians over 3 days to find a "senior" technician who understood the problem. All of this could have been avoided with proper guidance. After all the scanner works fine. I have compared scans from this scanner to the same film scanned on two other film scanners and the results were good and comparable. Buy this if you need to scan large negatives or positives along with reflective prints up to 12x18.
