Review on Dorman 741-950 Front Driver Side Power Window Motor and Regulator Assembly for Honda Models – Black by Omar Svagera

Revainrating 5 out of 5

One of the best parts of Dorman.

This is actually a very well made unit and the hardware is very comparable to the OEM part I shot in terms of overall quality (weight, metal thickness, fit/density of each component). Dorman stuff hits or misses, mostly misses, but this is an exception. It is screwed directly to all factory clearance-free bores. It runs very smooth and is much quieter than my original motor and ESC which were intermittent and slow and dry to the bone. This new part is heavily lubricated and runs very quietly. Tip: Take a silicone spray can with a small red straw nozzle and liberally lubricate the rubber window guides while the window is open. Mine were dry to the bone and causing the window to drag and making a lot of extra noise and I think this contributed to premature engine wear (it would have been due to corrosion anyway - the sealing of the window/door meeting point on the first Honda CRV) . -gen practically absent). Running time: about an hour, but I've removed the door panels multiple times to install the speaker and swap out the latch actuator, so I'm very familiar. An alert, nervous beginner will take no more than a few hours. Your Honda dealer will likely charge you over $400 for this job, and your private shop will likely charge 100-150 less. Do it yourself. It's honestly that easy.
