Review on ๐ŸŽฎ HEYSTOP Soft TPU Protective Case for Nintendo Switch Lite with Tempered Glass Protector and Thumb Stick Caps - Black by Dan Bobbert

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The back is pretty good and quite comfortable but the front is horrible

When I ordered this I thought it was two pieces with a protective front that snapped onto the back when I ordered it. However, this is not the case. It actually consists of three parts and a separate standard screen protector. The two front pieces are small pieces that need to be tucked under the slightly forward part of the back and should hook under and stay in place. However, I immediately had a problem right after unpacking: The left one didn't quite catch on because the rear end wasn't quite straight and therefore dangled a bit. I had to tape it pretty tight for a few hours to get it to flex a bit and basically stay in place, but I think it might still come loose at some point later. The fronts are also a bit awkward to use around the d-pad and buttons. They should have round cutouts around the cross and button, maybe a bit wider (although there isn't much room there as it compromises the integrity of the panel itself) and maybe angle them up a bit (which I will do). I think I'll do that later with the rotary tool.) I was also hoping it might offer a bit more protection for the screen. From the photos I kind of imagined it had a one-piece top covering the screen and everything, but in reality it's just a separate standard screen protector (which I already had there). This obviously offers normal protection from scratches and cuts, but I was hoping for something more durable that can withstand minor knocks. At the moment I'm using the top of the Official Nintendo Case, which just slips loosely over it to protect the top. Aside from those complaints, it otherwise works pretty well. The rear grips aren't as comfortable as I expected, but overall they work pretty well. I also think the case protects it from falls well enough from the back and sides. I'm less sure about the front, but as long as it doesn't touch the edges it should probably be fine.
