This small amplifier is really something to be proud of. I usually have much more expensive dedicated power amps and preamps in my system, but I wanted to try this little integrated amp because of all the good reviews. I wasn't expecting much, partly because of the price, but mostly because I've seen audio products get hyped before and I usually didn't like them at the time. Another reason I wanted to try this amp was to try a newer class D amp. I'm used to living with class A/AB tubes and/or tubes in the preamp or amp section, so how does the loxjie a10 match the big amp? Guys? I'm happy to say it's excellent, for me an amp should be able to give you detail without being clinical and boring and it should also have character. The Loxjie definitely beats its price point for the detail, I hate to compare it to more expensive gear or get false hope but if someone hooked this amp up to my setup and told me it was $300-$500 I would still think that this is a normal price depends solely on the sound quality. It also has character which means that not only is it totally neutral, it has a nice little lively energy in the upper registers, but it also has a bit of warmth in the mid-bass, these qualities are subtle but enough to make it stand out. fast when you're used to a really good and more neutral attitude. The speakers I tried this with are 2.5 way monitor sound speakers with an impedance of 6 ohms and a sensitivity of 91 dB in a medium sized room and this amp has more than enough power, in fact it can I hardly ever use a volume control, even when using the quietest source I have, but even that is still 2 volts. I typically run these speakers with a 150-watt-per-channel Class A/AB power amp and a $1,000 tube preamp, and while this setup sounds better than the Loxjie, it's not at all what you'd expect. I'm not just saying that I'm talking about technicalities due to the nature preference of one over the other and Lokji just isn't as far behind as some might think. Perhaps with a much more power hungry speaker the difference will be greater, but I think the vast majority of setups with this amp will be great.
