I've always had trouble with the Apple TV remote and my wife HATES the Apple TV remote! The Apple product had a touchpad that made it very difficult to perform the "fine control" movements required by DirecTV Now and its apps. The Apple product felt "smooth" and when we tried to select a button, it first moved to another "unnecessary" button and then selected the unwanted one. We constantly corrected unwanted selections. For example, if you swipe "right" to "move right" on an Apple product, it may move multiple locations when I wanted to move only one location. I kept swiping right, then left, then right again, and right again to choose the right option. CooLux moves only one selection per click on the remote control; which gives us MUCH better control over screen selection. Your experience may vary, but for us, CooLux is a better match for Apple TV when using DirecTV Now.
