Review on πŸ§— SCARPA Men's Vapor V Rock Climbing Shoes: Ideal for Sport Climbing and Bouldering by Phil Casey

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This is an amazing mid-range sneaker

This is a cool intermediate shoe. This was my second pair of climbing shoes and I wore them from six months into my sophomore year of climbing. I've used them both indoors and outdoors. The XS Edge rubber is nice and durable as I still had bad footwork when I first started using them. At first I had a bit of pain in my Achilles tendon, but that may have been because I resized it a bit tighter. They were recently retired in favor of a newer version of the Vapor V that I really like. Street shoe size 8-8.5 US M1. Boots: Force XM, size 41 (beginner's shoes, size too big) 2nd boots: This old model Vapor VM, size 40 (perfect fit, slight pain in Achilles tendon) 3rd boots: new model Vapor VM, size 39.5 ( perfect fit, a bit tight but no pain)

Pros
  • Versatility in Shape | Built with a moderate lean and a slightly asymmetrical profile, the Vapor V combines performance on rough terrain with the feel and comfort you need when the lean angle drops.
Cons
  • Weight
