It's hard to argue with all the 5 star reviews but here's why I only gave it a 4. Pros: It's made of high-quality, polished steel. It is well designed and ergonomic. It can also be washed in the dishwasher. Cons: It's big and heavy. When someone has arthritis, holding or scooping ice cream can be painful. I've used it at least 4 times for semi-hard ice cream. Each time the ice cream spoon got so cold that the ice cream stuck to the spoon. I had to either take a teaspoon and scoop ice cream out of the scoop, or with each scoop, dip the scoop in hot water. It would be nice if there were at least 2 sizes. The current and smaller (weighs less and is better suited for smaller containers like pints and quarts). The current size appears to be made for gallons and/or large containers.
