Replace muffler on above vehicle only. Sounds great below and above the specified RPM range. In the range of 1750-2100 rpm it is too loud and sounds like a deep exhaust note in the tunnel in the cabin. It's frustrating when you're cruising at 61-71mph on the freeway, traction from a boat or trailer gets annoying pretty quickly. At lower speeds and rpm it sounds great but is still a lot louder than a stock muffler. It sounds good when fully open or accelerating past 2100 rpm, although it's still a lot louder than the stock muffler. There seemed to be some improvement in throttle response and torque when I replaced the muffler and Z71 air filter with a K/N filter at the same time. I recommend this muffler for this car unless you drive too much or for too long between 61 and 71 mph. I believe that cutting off the resonator before the muffler will only make the problem worse.
