I bought the black case and have had it for about a year now so don't know if that counts as normal wear and tear but the The top and bottom of the case is black, the paint is scratched. Also, the light has turned too yellow for me, so I don't use it anymore, but it does a great job of protecting your phone. My real screen has no cracks on the front and back. So if you want a protective, durable phone that's difficult to remove, get this one. If you plan to buy one every year, but it's still smaller than a Lumee, you should definitely get one. Overall I can't complain
