I was surprised at how good the soft inner lining was. Outwardly, it doesn't look thin at all. The biggest surprise was how cool the truck was when I took the cover off. I live in the desert where the temperature is usually in the triple digits and the sun is scorching hot. I left a bucket of water in the truck expecting it to evaporate completely, but not quite. So if you're looking for a case that will protect you from extreme temperatures, this could be for you. It slides completely over the bumpers and hasn't had to use the included bungee cords (which also look sturdy) even in the gusty winds that are common here.
