Navy/Navy/Reefer vessels please note. The ammonia meter is for salt water and the pH meter is for fresh water. I cannot explain if this pH meter will work with seawater as it is labeled for freshwater. My 9 year old noticed this after I put him in our new little saltwater nano tank. Glad she noticed. I pulled it out and let the kids experiment with lemon juice. now that might work just fine, but for those of us who have the right gear and don't want to waste money, just get the ammonia warning sticker and you're done. You can find a good pH meter from Hanna Instruments and use it to test pH.
