Got these "boots" for my 4 1/4 lb. Bought Mojo Chihuahua on the advice of his vet. He was in a lot of pain from potty training when it was cold and it all started out of nowhere. Sometimes he can throw off his hind legs real quick, but first we need them for his front paws. I will now share my experience with all of you. When I put the boots on Mojo for the first time, he obeyed, even though he was confused. He really likes his hoodie and doesn't mind cool shirts on the rare occasions we find one small enough for him. He even likes his red puffy coat and will board the ship once or twice around the holiday season in his Santa's Little Yelper pajamas. they didn't do anything to him as he was being treated for pain in his paws/legs. He has just turned 4 and is used to wearing clothes but we have never put boots on him before. Boots on and in place, I hold Mojo, it doesn't hurt and O!M!G! He looked so cute! So I put him on the floor. The events that took place while I was sitting with my dog named Major Mojo, the same dog who sincerely believes in his heart that he is the biggest, strongest, most vicious dog that has ever walked the earth. - but weighs as much as 4 pounds each summer and gains another 4 ounces each winter - the events I am about to describe happened in rapid succession as soon as I set Mojo. My husband and I held our breath waiting for Mojo. to give a sign of pain that we might need to save him from immediately. I'm pretty sure Mojo breathed a sigh of relief as well when his leg stopped hurting as soon as I sat him down. Then he noticed that those boots were still attached to his feet. He took a step. His paws twitched bizarrely as he tried to walk, rising high in the air and much further forward than his normal stride. Confusion quickly set in as he tried to run halfway to the front door. Suddenly he started kicking his legs and tried to kick off his boots. He was unsuccessful. I happily shouted to my husband that they stayed where they were and we burst out laughing after seeing Mojo's initial reaction. That's when Mojo realized we were watching him. Not just casually in the room with him, but solely focused on Mojo. He looked at us, lifted his head and tried to go to the front door. I picked him up and tried to apologize for laughing at him, but I couldn't quite hold back my laughter. I calmed Mojo down and carried him out onto the porch, where I sat him down to attach his tiny leash that is preventing him from eating all of his food. much larger neighborhood dogs. I told him how good he looked, showered him with love and kisses and took a step back, camera in hand, so he could step down and into the garden to potty train. My husband would follow us outside when we almost always took Mojo for a walk and was still wiping tears from his face and couldn't control his laughter. , then down onto the sidewalk) and found he was afraid of falling. I spoke nicely to him and encouraged him, trying to help him feel awake again. I put my phone down after I got the short video and knelt in front of Mojo and then I saw it. His big, hard canine ego was absolutely crushed in those fast-paced moments. Now Mojo doubted himself about everything. Tears ran down his small, furry face, darkening it, and he looked at me, begging for help, using only his eyes. My joy immediately turned to sadness as I helped Mojo downstairs and started scolding my sweet, clueless husband for still laughing hysterically. Mojo quickly tried to get used to walking in his boots, which made me giggle again, and eventually he ignored us and left. about watering every plant he could reach. After Mojo finished his first chores, he went straight to work and tried to take off his booties, hiding under a bush and thinking we couldn't see him. By repeatedly running/grabbing/kicking/pulling, he managed to escape from the rear right boot. He fastened it a little less than the other side and just checked it. A few minutes later, the other back boot came loose, but Mojo had to use another plant and decoration to free his back left foot. At this point he hardly seemed to care about the front boots and you could see his pride restored as he walked away from his second dropped boot. In general, most of the time we use two boots for his front paws, just when not. it's snowing or raining and cold, and sometimes too cold and windy. Small dogs carry most of their weight on their front paws, which provides some much-needed relief. Mojo felt a little more comfortable in his boots. He still walks strangely for a few seconds, but he no longer cries because he feels the relief that the shoes bring. We try not to wear shoes in front of the company for the sake of his ego and take off the shoes immediately after returning from the street. Mojo never tried to chew on any clothes - be it his own or someone else's - and I was a little apprehensive about boots after the first meeting, so I put two on and put two down for him to get to know. I'm happy to report that he never chewed on his boots! The boots themselves are great quality! The inside is soft, snuggly and warm, while the hard rubber on the bottom of the outside is durable and does a great job of keeping out the cold and weather in Mojo Paws. They're trendy and even go perfectly with his pea coat, which helps temper the crushing ego that makes him a little so cute and confused. The Velcro adjustable system works very well to ensure a good fit and the boot sizing is generally very good. Finally, I have to tell you that I spent some time looking for the first photo of Mojo in his new boots, but decided not to post his tear-stained face as he looked so down. But these boots are SUPER! The price was great and I will probably buy more if they have other colors for boys as they have been very effective! Oh they arrived quickly, were exactly what I expected and were easy to use.
