Green solutions that work well

I love that I can get this set and try all these green solutions. I'm working hard to reduce the use of single-use plastic - or rather, plastic. Beeswax wraps stay closed while wrapping and can keep the bread in your sandwich from drying out. I will buy more large sizes. They're expensive, so it was nice to try them out in this budget-friendly set. The silicone lids, says the husband, are awesome! The trick is in the right size. I will be buying more of the larger and more varied sizes and will likely be able to omit the plastic wrap altogether. They are sealed. I love her. Just hop on and off. The silicone bags take a little getting used to. They're a bit bulky and heavy. They're not going to completely replace ziplock bags, but I think we've got everything covered with all three solutions. Products in silicone bags stay much fresher than in ziplocks. So they are exactly where they belong. It takes a few uses to make them easier to detach, and it's always a two-handed job with very little effort. I put them in the dishwasher with great results. I've used zippers for many purposes other than food over the years. I will find other solutions for these purposes. But it was a great starter kit to try out sustainable ways of storing food. I will expand this collection and reduce my one off solutions. I bet I will actually have more space in my kitchen. The beeswax just needs to be wiped off. Everything else goes in the dishwasher.
