Review on Amazon Basics Micro USB (Female) To USB-C (Male) Adapter - White by Jeff Jemison

I have purchased two versions of this product: white and gray with chain. I've had white ones for over 3 weeks, only now gray ones. In terms of functionality, they work exactly as described. Using the 2A OE charger that came with my phone, this adapter gets me 2A charging current into my phone with a micro USB cable (I used the AccuBattery app as an ammeter); My phone even shows "Fast Charge" on the lock screen, just like with the original cable and charger. To my knowledge this is what you get with these adapters, 2A. I have used the adapters to charge my Moto G Power phone and my wife's identical Moto G Power device. I tested all 8 devices and have been using 3 of them for several weeks in a row. The same applies to the bi-directional data transfer, it worked perfectly, but of course at USB 2.0 speeds. I even used the adapter in my car and got Android Auto working flawlessly on a 6 hour drive using my cheap retractable USB cable. The USB port in my car also provides about 2A charge current as my phone also shows "Fast Charge" with retractable cable + adapter. The only downside, and it's small, is the ridiculously small chain on the gunmetal gray version. The C-clips are too small to fit almost any USB cable except for the flat/thin ones on retractable cables. I had to use needle nose pliers to pry the c clip open, it worked but now the end looks weird (but at least it's safe). Aside from that stupid circuit implementation, these things work exactly as I expected; They don't get warm when charging 2A but barely warm, the phones I've tested them with have had no charging or data transfer issues and mechanically they fit into phones (8 total) and with with a good "click". a reassurance of a "click" when plugged into my micro USB cable.
