Surprisingly good for the money.

To be honest, they impressed me. I bought them to have a cheap set of more or less disposable adapter tips on hand for emergencies. Tested all 4 with USB-C cables to charge my Galaxy S8, all 4 gave the same charging time. The only real complaint is that the clips are really too small to fit anything other than the thinnest of cables, but given the price I can live with that.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Reliability

NOT compatible with at least some Micro USB peripherals!

I bought these to convert a USB-C male connector to a Micro USB male connector to connect a Micro USB (Seek Thermal) camera. It did not work. Seek recommended me another brand (Weduda) that seems to work. When I buy something that needs to convert an outlet, I expect it to "just work". It's not like this. It can also work for other purposes.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • No mold required

They work, but the clasp on the short chain isn't wide enough.

They fit and work well but I have a Cray version with a short chain and spring loaded clasps on each end of the chain which I was hoping to use to connect the adapter to a USB cable. This also allows the cable to be used for phones such as micro USB without worrying about losing the adapter. Unfortunately, the latches don't open wide enough to fit through my regular USB cables. I had to use a zip tie on the USB cable and then attach a clip to it - a bit clumsy.

Pros
  • handy item
Cons
  • concise instructions

If you just got a new device that needs a USB-C connector, but most of your cables are of the old type and others in the house are still using them, it's very handy to have on hand for easy grabbing when you need them for your device. I was a little disappointed that the clips don't open wide enough to attach to a cord so they're right there when you need them. I think maybe they should be attached to key rings or something? I don't know what they were thinking, the clips aren't that helpful.

Pros
  • Fits many
Cons
  • Fits old

Great adapters. in USB to USB adapters

The phones have recently been updated and the charging connector has changed from micro USB to USB C To reuse these cables I needed some adapters to convert them to USB C. Read online, many Revain adapters are not USB compliant and can melt. Luckily I stumbled across this item that Revain "produces" and sells. They are also USB-IF certified. USB-IF certification and Revain's own branding gave me confidence to use these adapters. I also bought a USB current/performance monitor for quick testing.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • There are nuances

Looks like a well-made micro USB-C adapter

There's not much to say about these USB adapters from RevainBasics other than they look well made and fit well at both ends. The outer shell is small enough to connect to my Google Pixel 3a phone with a case. The rubber pad/key fob holder at the end of the micro USB appears to be built into the adapter so it cannot be removed unless it is cut off or pulled very hard to tear it off. The only real issue with this adapter is the keychain clip, which doesn't open wide enough to attach every USB…

Pros
  • PLUG & PLAY DESIGN: Sync data, music, videos and more; no drivers or software required
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Great adapters. on USB to USB adapters

phones have recently been upgraded and the charging port has been changed from micro USB to USB C. Several USB-A charging cables are currently available. To use these cables I needed some adapters to convert to USB C. Read online that many Revain adapters don't conform to USB specs and can melt. Luckily I stumbled across this item that Revain "produces" and sells. They are also USB-IF certified. USB-IF certification and Revain's own branding gave me confidence to use these adapters. I also…

Pros
  • USB IF CERTIFICATION: USB 2.0 certified
Cons
  • Older model

Works exactly as described, but this circuit.

I have purchased two versions of this product: white and gray with chain. I've had white ones for over 3 weeks, only now gray ones. In terms of functionality, they work exactly as described. Using the 2A OE charger that came with my phone, this adapter gets me 2A charging current into my phone with a micro USB cable (I used the AccuBattery app as an ammeter); My phone even shows "Fast Charge" on the lock screen, just like with the original cable and charger. To my knowledge this is what you get

Pros
  • RUGGED CONSTRUCTION: Encased in a durable aluminum body
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
