I bought this holdall to take my clubs back home on my annual golf trip with friends. I don't play golf very much, so I didn't want to spend more than $200 for a hard case that can only be used once a year (annual golf trip). Also, my clubs are around 5-8 years old, so I'm not too worried about possible damage during the flight. For the occasional golfer like me who only uses it once a year, this bag will suffice. It helps but if I could do it again I would probably buy a nicer and stronger bag with better support and cushioning. The size of the bag was exactly what I expected. This is where I store my golf bag/clubs, about two dozen golf balls, golf shoes (with shoe bag) and spare clothing. Inner and outer straps help keep things inside, but there's no real padding or support in the middle, so the bag sags when being dragged (e.g. from car to airport baggage claim). Also the top of the bag where your driver/wood/hybrids protrude far out of the bag can get damaged so I used golf towels and extra clothing to protect the clubs just in case. Even if the bag "stands up" on its own, it can tip over if the weight is unevenly distributed. So the bag is ok. I wish it was nicer and more textured/supportive but it worked and none of my racquets were damaged. However the bag was badly damaged during my flight (on the way back I think) but I can't say I'm surprised. If I had better racquets or plan to use them more often I would definitely invest in a better quality travel bag.
