Broken latch works best on door and stair gates
We bought this gate to put around our pellet stove so our child wouldn't get close and be tempted to touch it and burn himself . We were happy to receive it a day earlier than expected but were disappointed to find out it was broken. Everything was damaged when the box arrived, but the gate itself appeared to be well packed in the box. It wasn't until we installed it that we realized the latch on the door was broken to open and close the gate. It's bulky and will most likely be a pain to return.
