A little is enough. Hair became incredibly soft and light after use. It wasn't gross at all. I'm not sure I can wrap my hair overnight. I will update later. but my hair seems so smooth and soft. During the night my bandage came off and I was sweating a little on my 4a/3c hair. This jam helped style and smooth my silky abs into a sleek ponytail. I have to add that I don't normally wear product so this product didn't make my hair sticky.
