Review on RockShox Recon Silver Fork Adjustment by Mike Hernandez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

If you still use V-Brake you need this shock/fork. Plus it just works

When my SID Air could no longer be repaired, I realized that forks with rim brake mounts were no longer manufactured. But they do. This is the one and you can use it with disc brakes too. The price is about the same as rebuilding an existing shock if an overhaul were available and the shock could be rebuilt. Do I notice a difference? In my opinion yes, but I'm going through the same thing and more with about the same comfort as before. It has a lock, I have to bend over and flip the lever to do it. In fact, it is a series of shock absorbers with different inner workings. This is the best of the two that you're most likely to find to buy. It features steel top tubes, an air shock with 100mm of travel, externally adjustable air and rebound, and a heavy-duty turnkey lockout. lock locked position. It is straight, does not taper towards the steering column.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not everything fits
