If regular digital cameras won't cut it anymore, this one will, but it's a shame to spend so much on a DSLR with a 20x zoom lens. A fantastic method of articulating oneself. In favor of it: One) It has a very effective zoom. Even at a broad perspective, a tiny bit of ascent is visible. The design and construction are superb. Two) The screen rotates, allowing me to adjust settings from any angle. Thirdly, it has a low power consumption rate; 350 shots on 2500 mA batteries (with 50% flash) is plenty. Without a flash, you'll have greater shooting time. Difficulties include: Objectively: 1) The default white-balance setting is too blue (correct in Photoshop). ISO 200 and above is really noisy. Subjectively: 1) THE FILTERS CANNOT BE BROKE! The threaded notch on the lens is exclusively for the cap. To get the polarizer to screw on, I had to make some adjustments to the thread. Indeed, a polarizer or a hood will do the trick. 2) Annoying interface; the supplementary scene mode selection wheel is sluggish to respond to rotation, causing me to miss my turn and waste precious seconds. The pivotal wheel performs as expected. Autofocus issues, problem #3. Even at wide apertures, it rarely focuses on the first half-press.
