I've heard pretty good things about Carol's Daughter, mainly from the internet when I was looking for the best shampoos for curly hair, but it was bad. I'm really not the type to leave reviews or complain about products. However, this shampoo seriously tangles your hair when you apply it. Suddenly I was struggling with serious knots every time I washed my hair! I've heard of this happening to others and have decided to endure it, but since moving from Carol's Daughter to a new brand I don't know why I've ever had to endure this pain. Because of him, hair gets so dehydrated during the shower and even after. For context: I'm a Black, Indian and Italian mixed race with slightly curly hair, but I need a good shampoo and conditioner to manage it. I used this after the Devakerl scandal. I'm looking for a good replacement. I've been using it for about 6 months and used a lot of bottles and I didn't realize how bad it was on my hair until I stopped using it. I also went through sooooo much air conditioning which was the worst. To combat the tangles caused by the shampoo I had to buy 2 or 3 bottles of conditioner per bottle of shampoo which was terrible. I think I could ignore Carol's flaws because of the price, particularly the high cost of Devakurl, and the reviews seemed good, so I figured it wasn't too good to be true, but it was. I just want people to be aware of the difficulties because it's difficult to find a good formula. I am currently using a much better product that has made me realize that my hair can be beautiful, soft and manageable. I don't want to name names because I don't want this review to feel fake or fabricated, but I definitely wanted anyone having these hair issues with this product to understand that it's probably time to stop. !
