At first it didn't work and it's hot! But then it was great!

Didn't work at first. I installed the SDRSharp software and installed the device driver. Then I went into the program according to the instructions. Set the RTL-SDR (USB) settings, then click the play triangle. The software worked. A key and longer antennas were connected. At first I couldn't set anything. Then I went outside. Only a few very strong FM stations could be tuned in. The device felt very hot. Day 2. We play with the antenna, make sure it's ok. I soldered the connector. The middle connection should go to one of the bunny ears, the sleeve should go to the other bunny ears from the SMA. I noticed that the pin in the SMA is very short, so I made sure to fully screw the connection a second time. Bingo! It was a problem getting the night before. Now I had channels up and down on the FM dial-in. And VHF channels up and down the air band. And FM channels up and down in the 70cm band and FM channels up and down in the 2.4GHz WiFi band. Note to self. Get the FM notch filter! Otherwise it would be fun to use the range and dial up and down visually. I suspect that the RF boost during the first night made the device so hot. After the second night I turned on the AGC and everything worked. Not to mention that it was much cooler. So if you're not receiving multiple local VHF channels at the same time, check your SMA connection and antenna before proceeding!
