This assembly is constructed of heavy gauge cold rolled steel. Unfortunately, one end was bent 90 degrees the wrong way, so I had to clamp it in a vise to change the shape. Otherwise, it looks like it will get the job done for a reasonable price. UPDATE: After installing it, I found that it fits. I'd like to give you a few tips to save you time and hassle: 1) You must place the car on jackstands with enough clearance to maneuver the wooden blocks and jack under the tank. Obviously, but don't push hard on the tank to lift it into place. It is better to support the tank under the strap in the middle, and then carefully lift it from the side. 2) I've found that the quickest way to get the tank back in place is to use a jack with a block of wood under the passenger side strap to slide the strap close enough to tighten the bolt without tightening it , and then repeat this process the driver's side. I also had to use a bottle jack to get the strap close enough to run the bolt. 3) Bonus tip: the original screws are barely long enough and mine were very rusty. It would have taken much longer to get the original screws to work as they are very short at only about 20mm thread length. I used 1990's style (Gimlet tip) GM M10 fender bolts which are threaded throughout and are about 10mm longer than the stock bolts for a total thread length of maybe 30mm. They make starting a lot easier as they are designed to start regardless of slight misalignment and the extra thread length allows you to pull the belt out with screws rather than trying to lift the belt from underneath to start . shortest bolts.
