This little guy exceeded my expectations and helped me reduce the amount of adapter cables and keys I carry to work. worth your money. I haven't had a single compatibility issue with my 2018 15" MacBook Pro; however, I'd like to say that I've tried connecting HDMI 1080p to a TV just for presentation. My main docking station is Elgato Thunderbolt 3 at home and work. So I only use it when I'm away from home. You might need to do some research if you're planning on making large monitors or large USB-C devices with it. For my purposes it was a great little tool and the transfer rates were pretty fast. One of the dates is that the USB-C PD is only 60 W. Not that much, but it might be a consideration for some.
