My go-pro go-to wand of choice is the Quik Pod Ultra. But I have had a lot of experience with many Smatree products in the past, so I decided to give this one a try. Love: 1. Aluminum construction. I take it regularly into the salt water and it holds up well. Plus, it just feels very solid in the hand and doesn't wobble or rattle in any way. I don't worry it will fall apart soon.2. It comes with an aluminum tripod mount and thumbscrew, both of which outperform plastic alternatives.3. It can be rolled up into a relatively small package. This is great for a bag or case and I can't do it with my Quik Pod.4. The action of the screws to adjust the position of the sections is smooth and easy to turn. Dislikes: 1. Disclosure takes time. It's a compromise you have to make given how strong the links are and how small you can stack them, and in my opinion it's worth it. However, this is an argument for many people.2. It's just too short for me. It's picky, but I like my GoPro sticks to be a little longer. However, this one can also be rolled down to a much smaller size than most, so again this is a compromise. All in all, this is a great GoPro pole that won't let you down. In exchange for this review, I received a discount on this product.
